Our Investor Search feature helps you find the ideal investor for your fundraising needs by searching through your network and others in Distill that match your criteria.

Here’s how to search for Investors or look for a startup.

Click on 🔍Search in the Nav bar on the left-hand side. You can also start one here: https://distill.fyi/search/advanced/

1. Tell us who you are looking for using natural language.

2. Choose which network you want to through

   • You can look through your own contacts only so you have an immediate connection.
   • You can also browse your shared contacts to see your expanded network. This is enabled by default. See: How to Connect and Share Contacts on Distill

     • Advanced - You can choose a specific team member’s network. Left-click on the team member(s) or unselect the team member you do not want to look through.

     • Advanced - You can also provide us with an example of someone or a company similar to whom you’re looking for.

       

3. Confirm if you’re looking for people, companies, or investors.

4. Press Search to see results. You can edit Investor Search results by clicking on Edit Search or by clicking on the structured prompts to edit your filters. Ex. Click on VC Firm to change to P.E
