The Gmail plugin makes it easy to learn more about the person and company you're emailing without ever leaving your inbox. Installing the Chrome extension (see What can I do with the Distill Chrome extension? Download here) will grant you access to the plugin and provide you with insights into profiles directly from Gmail.

To view full profile details, click on their name to open their profile on a separate tab.

How to use the Gmail plugin

1. Make sure the Chrome extension is installed. (see What can I do with the Distill Chrome extension? Download here )

2. Navigate to Gmail and see the Distill plugin located on the sidebar.

3. You can expand the plugin, and you can see Distill profiles of people and companies in your Gmail account. Or, you can click on individual threads, and the Distill Gmail plugin will then focus only on the thread participants.

4. You can view people and company profiles in-line within your inbox in a slideout viewing experience.

   

How to Uninstall the Gmail plugin

1. You can uninstall the Gmail plugin by going to the Distill Chrome extension and right-clicking to open up options.
2. Once on the options page, uncheck Enable The Gmail plugin and hit Save.
3. Once saved, you can close the page, and you should no longer see the Gmail plugin in your inbox.
