Connecting on Distill lets you expand your search by tapping into your networks. You can view and filter through both your connections and those in your network, helping you uncover more relevant people.

Click on My Network on the nav bar to get started.

Benefits of Connecting

• Invite or add your close connections to enable network search using People Search.

• Easy invitation flow via email, or in-app

  Give access to Distill via an invite link, or add them to your network if they have a Distill account. You can skip our sign-up waitlist and get access to Distill by being invited to connect on Distill.

• Search through a specific person or your whole network

  Search the network of a particular contact, or enable search across all members of your network using People Search.

How to invite

1. On your Dashboard or My Network page use the “New Connection Invite” button to connect with someone, or you can press the “Share Invite” button on the top right.

   Option 1: Send an Invite via Email

   • Type in the email of the person you want to connect with on Distill. If they’re not already a Distill user, they’ll be prompted to sign up, bypassing the waitlist.

   Option 2: Share your invite link

   • Every user has a personal invite link they can share to connect on Distill. Go to your My Network page or dashboard and look for the invite link URL. Left-click on the invite link or press copy to share with others. The share link should look like distill.fyi/connect/

2. If your connection is already a user, they will be prompted to accept the invite to join your network. If they are not a user, they will be prompted to sign up for Distill and then connect.

3. Once they accept the invite, you can see all your network connections on your Dashboard and manage your connections on the My Network page.

4. You can now search through each other’s networks using People Search (see Find the Right People in Your Network using People Search to learn more).

How to Remove a Network Connection

1. Go to the My Network tab
2. Click on the More Options menu (⋮) next to each profile.
3. Click on the Remove Connection option.
4. You’ll be prompted to review the profile. Confirm if you want to disconnect.

Onboarding Incomplete

If a user does not complete onboarding, you’ll see that on in your dashboard next to their profile. You won’t be able to take advantage of searching through their network until they finish onboarding and indexing their connections.
